Ghana attacker Christian Atsu scored his second goal for Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon when they defeated Cardiff City 2-1 in the English Championship.

The Ghanaian international took just 5 minutes to put his side in front.

The 24-year-old drilled the ball at the back of the net after finding his leg on Mitro’s effort.

Yoan Gouffran made it 2-0 on the stroke of half time before Whittingham got a consolation for Cardiff.

Atsu could have gotten the third goal for his side in the 49th minute when his effort was deflected for a corner.

The on-loan Chelsea winger made way for Senegalese Mohammed Diame in the 88th minute.
